The 3rd week, Dec-The overview of Simple Machine

In this week, you will learn only the introduction of simple machine.

More detailed program will be continued in next year of Oct.

Many children wanted to buy pictured kit when they learned about " Int'l Trading" last summer.

You can learn and make "Simple Machine" using this kit in this week.

Dancing Raisins-Buoyancy Experiment

The 2nd Week, Dec-Dancing raisins

What would happen if we created carbon dioxide, like you just breathed out, but in the water ?

In this week, you will learn above question with interesting experiment.

As noticed already classroom was changed to meeting room beside the Presdient room of Museum since last week.

It will be same classroom until the last week of Dec.

But following year of 2010, we will be scheduled to proceed "Creative & Scientific Global Leader Education Program" in the other hall of Science Museum located at EXPO Park every Saterday.

The more effective and the better learning environment will be submitted all children.

At glance we and children were very surprised at seeing the big table and chair but we couldnot do experiment as our schedule last week.

We will change some extreme experiment to soft learning program as too much clean and large burden of Meeting Hall in this month.

In this week, you will learn how to make Yogurt at your home.

As it take long time for you to wait it perfectly, we will let you

know how to make and you can make your own favorite and

cheaper yorgurt at your home.

The 3rd Week, Oct-ElectroMagnet Motor

In this week, you will learn about "Magnetic motor" through making magnetic motor kit.

From this week, program is a little difficult but you can do and learn with your magnetic motor

kit (We gave last month) easily and fun.

Vocabulary : motion, attract, repel, electronicmagnet, flip

Key Sentence :

When you see rotation of magnetic motor kit, You can see that this half-turn of motion is simply

due to the way magnets naturally attract and repel one another.

The key to an electric motor is to then go one step further so that, at the moment that this half-

turn of motion completes, the field of the electromagnet flips.

The 1st week, Oct-Mysterious Energy

From this month to 2nd or 3rd week of Nov, you will learn about

"Green Energy".

It is very difficult for you to understand theoretically but it is most

serious problem for us to settle in near future.

You learned "Green House Effect" already but 'Green Energy" is our future energy.

*Tell your parents What is "Green House Effect" if possible in English ?

We will do magnetic car experiment with pictured toy kit and motor kit we gave you last week.

You will make Dragonfly with patternblock in this week.

In this processing you will learn "Symmetry".

Vocabulary : Nymph, metarmophosis, aquatics

Female dragonfly lay eggs in or near water, often on floating or emergent plants.

When laying eggs, some species will submerge themselves completely in order to lay their eggs on a good surface.

The eggs then hatch into nymphs.

* If you catch dragonfly, you have enough sense to come in from rain.

You will learn and investigate ants you catched through Big Screen Microscope.

The male ants only serve one purpose, to mate with future queen ants and do not live very long.

The queen grows to adulthood, mates, and then spends the rest of her life laying eggs.

In this week, you will investigate Bee through Big Screen Microscope with Specimen Slide.

When the honeybee visits a flower, pollen collects on the body, legs and head including the eyes and antennae.

In this month you will review and investigate about common

insect.

In these days we have much difficulty time due to mosquito.

Insects have three body part called "Head, Thorax, Abdomen" and six legs and two pairs of wing

and one pari of antenna.

If you want to see annoying mosquito, you should catch large mosquito to investigate through big

screen microscope.

It is very hot day.

You will investigate and make ocean mammal 'Dolphin' using science block.

Do you know that dolphins are whales?
It is true.
Dolphins are a kind of whale known as toothed whales.
They are marine mammals that live mostly in shallow seas and feed on a variety of fish.

Now they turn and blasting air from their blowholes and ascend towards their prey.
